Couples Counselling

What We Offer for Couples

We offer a variety of options for couples, from those planning to get married, those wishing to strengthen or improve their marriages, or those are looking for tradition counselling.
We offer faith-based couples counselling, for those who wish.

We have evening and Saturday appointments available.

Couples Counselling

Cost: $175 – 60 minutes

Often the biggest challenge for couples is communication. Couples sometimes need someone to come alongside and offer a different perspective and someone who will actively listen. In a session, we will work through communication, we will work to renew and restore broken relationships, and we will work towards a new emerging story in your lives.

Whether you feel you need a check-up or if your relationship is in crisis, let’s work together toward a relationship that is heading in the right direction and restoring respect and listening.

Pre-Marital Counselling (Prepare/Enrich)

Cost: $450 for Four – 60 minute Sessions

Are you getting married soon?
Whether Pre-Marital counselling is required by your pastor or not, pre-marital counselling is a wonderful way to get your marriage off on the right foot. Using the Prepare/Enrich assessment tool. With over 20 years of experience using Prepare/Enrich (Facilitator #33896), Joshua, along with his wife Sandra, will meet with you as a couple, working through the assessment and preparing you for some of the surprises that marriage can often bring. Some of the areas discussed in the assessment are family of origin, learning communication skills, financial planning, and how each person interacts with friends and family.

Couples in the Edmonton Area: In-person meetings can be offered for these sessions. Let us know if that is your preference.

Insurance

Joshua is registered with both the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and the Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta. We maintain a list of major insurance companies that typically cover services from providers with his designation. However, coverage can vary by insurer, so we recommend confirming with your provider directly. Clients may also use Health Spending Accounts (if available through your employer’s plan) to cover session costs.

Direct Billing & Reimbursement:
We offer direct billing to many insurance companies via Telus eClaims and ProviderConnect. If your insurance provider doesn’t support direct billing, we’ll provide you with a receipt that you can submit for reimbursement.

Each receipt includes Joshua’s professional designation and registration number with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, which can be used for tax purposes or kept for your records.
